Our property features five charming cottages with 29 elegantly appointed rooms, each with private balconies showcasing Plateau or mountain views. Select ground-floor rooms offer outdoor showers, while penthouse suites provide elevated privacy and panoramic scenery.

Guests enjoy two restaurants, a stylish bar, an infinity pool, a lazy river, a vibrant kids park, a fitness center, a full-service spa, inviting lounges, and a boutique gift shop — creating a seamless stay for couples, families, and groups.

Opening March 2026, our exclusive hilltop camping and glamping site — available on a first-come, first-serve basis — offers unmatched views of the entire resort. Located just beyond the zip-lining experience, guests can sleep under the stars in luxury domes or camping tents while enjoying nyama choma, drinks, and spectacular sunset views.

Directions

Embark on an unforgettable journey from Nairobi to Kitonga Garden Resort in Mbiuni, where adventure meets tranquility.

Our resort offers multiple routes for travelers, ensuring a memorable trip tailored to your preferences.

Driving Directions:

  • Shortest Route (rough terrain):Via Kangundo Road:

This is the shortest route via Tala town on the hill down to Mbiuni but note that this route is not tarmacked and is abit rough, especially for smaller wheeled cars.

    • Head towards Mombasa Road and turn left onto Machakos-Kangundo Road (A109) or Eastern Bypass to join Nairobi-Kangundo road via Ruiai then towards Tala town

    • Follow signs towards Kitonga Garden Resort,Mbiuni after passing Tala town.

  • Via Embu through Thika:

    • Follow the directional signs for Embu, and then proceed towards Thika Town via Makongeni and then Kithimani on Garissa Road, following the road directions. Upon reaching Kithimani, make a right turn towards Kabaa.

    • At the junction, turn right again towards Mbiuni.

 

  • Via C99:

    • Follow directions to join C99 road via Mlolongo -Athi river -Makutano to Machakos town.Take Kitui road to Makutano- Mwala-Kabaa and continue towards Mbiuni.

    • A 48-hour notice is required for pickup and drop-off arrangements.

    • Contact us in advance to schedule transportation and ensure a smooth journey

Gate Fee/Corkage Fee

Important Information for Guests Visiting Kitonga Garden Resort

Welcome to Kitonga Garden Resort, where every detail is crafted to enhance your experience. Please take note of the following important information for a smooth and enjoyable visit:

  1. Gate Entrance Fee:

    • There is a gate entrance fee of 1500 Ksh per guest aged 18 years and older without room reservation Or under 18 persons not accompanied by an adult.

    • This fee is redeemable within the resort premises and helps us maintain security and minimize loitering.

  2. Outside Food Policy:

    • Kindly note that outside food is not allowed within the resort premises.

    • Our culinary team offers a delightful range of dining options to satisfy your cravings during your stay.

  3. Corkage Fee:

    • For drinks brought into the resort, a corkage fee of 70% will be applied.

    • We encourage guests to enjoy our selection of beverages available at our bars and restaurants.
